• Kumpen Turns In Solid Debut In K&N East Season Opener NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2015) – Nick Drake came away with a solid top-10 finish at New Smyrna Speedway on Sunday night to get his second season under way in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Drake finished eighth in the No. 15 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota, as the series kicked off its 2015 season with the Hart To Heart Breast Cancer Foundation 150 at the high-banked track in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Drake’s Bill McAnally Racing teammate for the event, Anthony Kumpen, also had a good showing – as the driver from Hasselt, Belgium finished 14th in his first NASCAR race in the United States. Drake, who had set the fast mark in practice earlier in the day, was eighth in qualifying. He faded in the early laps to 12th, where he settled in for the first half of the race. •Four BMR Drivers Finish In Top 10 In K&N West Race
ROSEVILLE, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2014) – Christian PaHud made the most of his debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, winning the Toyota/NAPA AUTO PARTS 150 at All American Speedway on Saturday. PaHud, who also won the Coors Light Pole Award in qualifying for the event, became the fourth different driver to win a series race for Bill McAnally Racing this season. The local driver put that experience to good use on Saturday night in winning the NAPA AUTO PARTS/Toyota 150 in just his second race in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. • BMR Drivers Custer, Drake Finish First & Third In K&N Pro Series East Action RICHMOND, Va. (April 26, 2014) – Cole Custer took the lead from his Bill McAnally Racing teammate Nick Drake near the midway point of the Blue Ox 100 and pulled away to win the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway on Saturday. Drake, who had won his first career pole in qualifying the day before, finished third in the event – which had been postponed from Friday night due to rain. The delay did not slow the two BMR teams, as they ran 1-2 from the drop of the green flag, with Drake out front in the No. 15 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota and Custer close behind in the No. 00 NAPA AUTO PARTS/HAAS Automation entry. They were among 12 drivers NASCAR announced for the program’s 2014-2015 class during a special press conference today at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. BMR Drivers Take Home The Hardware In NAPA AUTO PARTS 150 IRWINDALE, Calif. (March 23, 2014) – Patrick Staropoli scored his first career win in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West with a victory in the NAPA AUTO PARTS 150 at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway on Saturday night. The win by the 24-year-old driver from Plantation, Fla., marked a return to Irwindale’s Victory Lane for Bill McAnally Racing – which had dominated series competition at the state-of-the-art facility east of Los Angeles between 2001 and 2007. For Staropoli, who started fifth on the grid in the No. 99 PEAK Toyota, the win came in just his third career series start. Like many others in Saturday’s race, he opted to drop back early in the event and save his tires. After fading back as far as 13th, Staropoli eventually began his move to the front. Good Day Sacramento’s Nina Hajian visited Bill McAnally Racing and the BMR Napa AutoCare Center in Roseville for Daytona Sunday. The local news program did multiple segments featuring the BMR Napa AutoCare Center in Roseville that is a full service automotive repair facility and home to a seven time championship NASCAR team. The segment included an interview with Bill McAnally about the team’s recent success in Daytona Beach as they begin their quest for championships in both the East and West Coasts for 2014 before Nina took the pit crew tire change challenge against the clock. (Feb. 27, 2014) – Cole Custer led a Bill McAnally Racing charge in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season opener, capturing the win in his No. 00 NAPA AUTO PARTS/Haas Automation entry at Phoenix International Raceway on Thursday. Custer’s teammate, Nick Drake, finished third in the No. 55 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota. BMR missed a podium sweep, however, when Brandon McReynolds suffered damage to his No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota in the final laps and faded from second to finish eighth. Custer’s win in the Talking Stick Resort 75 came in just his third series start.
