I had my wife bring her car here for a brake inspection based on the dragging caliper type sound we heard on a road trip. They told her they will do a full brake inspection initially but she was then told that after the tech drove the car, it was obvious that it was bad rotors and pads up front. The prices they were asking were pretty high (i know labor is steep but whatever) so i told her i will just do all 4 corners at home. I changed the front pads and rotors today in my garage and immediately noticed the drivers front axle has been flinging grease for some time. Not their fault but I'm astonished no one noticed that after an "inspection" theres no mention of it on the final receipt. Also as i suspected the noise is not coming from the front it's the rear. So I'm glad we didn't pay them $700 just for the front as obviously it wouldn't have fixed the initial customer complaint, would've been far more expensive and they apparently wouldn't have even told us the cv axle is bad. I'm in the rv service world and deal with chassis inspections daily. Myself or another employee would've been sternly dealt with and possibly fired if a huge issue like this was missed during an inspection. This is basic rookie tech knowledge, when the wheel is off DON'T JUST LOOK FOR WHAT IS ON YOUR WORK ORDER, take a look around, one quick glance at the wheel well or control arm would have revealed a bad axle. Which is good for the company and the customer you get a quick and easy upsell plus the customer walks away with a safer car and a feeling that everything was properly assessed. Not impressed at all with this place. And look i get it, a woman who knows nothing about cars walks in and says she just wants things looked at and you're in a situation where you think this isn't going to lead to any money... trust me i understand that but you have to also treat every inspection and every customer the same way wether its a mclaren p1 or a honda civic the mentality needs to be upheld
